Claudia gave a tired smile when she walked into the bedroom, hearing water running and the scent of lavender in the air. A bath sounded heavenly after her day from hell, if only Cutter and Lester would stop sniping at each other.
She shook her head, scattering any thought of work, and entered the bathroom. Her smile grew when she noticed the bubbles and unlit candles. “Thank you.”
“I’m sorry about work,” her lover replied, handing her a glass of white as he put a selection of her favourite chocolates by the bath.
“Less arguing would be helpful.”
“I’ll try.”
