A/N: For P100 prompt 536: James Lester. Um... my muse took the bit between its teeth and came up with this... whatever this is ;) Thanks go to Fred for saying it was OK.
James Lester had once known were he was going, his career planned out in minute detail. He'd even managed to fit a marriage and children into his busy schedule.
That was before the anomalies had occurred and subsequently derailed all of his plans.
Now, rather than being in charge of an embassy and lauded for his success, he was fighting to keep the ARC open while dealing with creatures long dead (or yet to evolve), a minister with a brain even an amoeba would be ashamed of and a mad woman bent of destroying humanity.
And it was only Tuesday.
