A familiar bleeping sounded from Matt's jacket and he smiled apologetically when a nurse glanced disapprovingly at him. He pulled his hand held detector out and groaned when he saw where the anomaly was located.
James looked up, his eyes haunted. “Matt?”
Matt saw little point in lying to him. “That way.”
He saw James' eyes widen with realisation before the man was out of his seat and hurrying towards the operating theatre where Connor was being treated, Abby hard on his heels.
Matt swore and had to run to catch up with them as he called Jess for back-up.
