Whoa

Aw, something really sad just happened!

I had written out a moderately long livejournal entry and then i bumped my touchpad clicker, and it steered the page away from livejournal and over to ebay (where I had been checking around to see if I could find the ATP Player calendar from this year, because Dmitri Tursunov is hot and shirtless and black and white in it)

In a nutshell, here is what it said:

Sorry about not updating for such a long time; school, work, life, and facebook seem to have gotten in the way.

When last we spoke, passing all of my classes seemed a dubious situation, I did pass.

Accounting: C-

We talked about how my major is still accounting, even though Logan thinks I should major in something that I really love to do. Apparently he's missed the memo about the spiralling downward economy and how not everyone gets to have a job that they Love.  My rationale is that work pays for the things you do outside of work, and for me, I like to play tennis, so if I have a job where I can afford to play tennis a couple of nights a week, that'll be worth it for me.  As I think long term about my career/life, several things stand out: I want to own a home eventually, and an accountants salary would help that some, and then I'd like a job where I'll have decent maternity leave and possible work from home opportunities.  Accounting strikes me as being exactly that fit for me.  And I'm a much better accountant than my grade reflects:  there was an internet financial projections project that I never turned in, as well as about half of the homework assignments that I just didn't have time for.  I otherwise did very well on my tests, barring the final exam which I BOMBED.  All in all, with work turned in I would have landed somewhere in the B range, that internet project instantly took ten points off the grade.

There have been some changes at The Bank.  Not great ones, but what are you gonna do, right?  My old north branch boss no longer works with the bank, and she was fantastic and I just adored her.  I was really sad.  I get to go to North branch this week, after spending two other weeks there recently.  It's so much more fast paced at North, time just flies by.

My tennis instructor told me that I was thinking like a tennis player!  I'm sure that that's just something that instructors have to say to their students to keep up morale, but it definitely kept up my morale.  Now if only I was a little bit lighter on my feet, my tennis time would be a blast.  I love tennis. Love love love love love.  Someone asked me how much it cost me each week and when I told them their eyes bugged out a little, but here's how I rationalize it:  It's probably cheaper than therapy.  It gets me out of my house on Friday evenings.  After a week of work and school, my legs LOVE an hour of chasing tennis balls.  I was toying with the idea of teaching my cousin's young children tennis this summer, kind of like a Big Sister/Mentor sort of thing.  Althought I might be sort of a bad influence.  I have a steady job, still live at home and have no children.  That's kind of a big deal for that side of the family.

Anyway, that's all I've got for now.  Oh, except to say *woohoo Alyssa Czisny, Meryl Davis & Charlie White, and Jeremy Abbott on your first national titles this year*

Oh yeah, and I'm a short step away from being a CrazyMUSEFangirl.  A short step indeed.

Peace out.
