I finished my project for the Knitting Olympics, and a day early at that! I finished yesterday evening, but didn't get around to posting a picture till now.
There isn't a picture of it on me because, unfortunately, Tubey was a bad choice of style for me. Being, erm...overly blessed in the chest area with a smaller waist and wide hips just does work with this style or the broad horizontal stripes. Not in my case anyway. But it's not all a loss, I proved I could make a sweater, even if it doesn't look good on me. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, and it actually looks pretty good on my mom, so hopefully it will get some use from her. And I proved I could knit said sweater in just over two weeks. And finally, I learned I could do a whole sweater body in ribbing without killing myself or others (though it was very tedious; I do not like ribbing). I really do like the pattern, I may just try it in a solid color one of these days. Big loud stripes, as much as I love them, are not my friends.
Sweater stats:
Pattern: Tubey from the current issue of Knitty.
Yarn: KnitPicks Wool of the Andes in a whole slew of colors.
