superlong photos and update!
okay. so still no kyoto.. but major secret pal excitement, which heralded the long awaited uploading of photos! so, follow my cut to see more!
this was my first post from her..
she has the most fun stationery and excellent excellent taste!!
and then today, i had a large large parcel weighing down the postman..
(forgot to take a photo pre-ripping it open!!)
freshly open box! please note the uber-cool polka dot tissue paper, and CASCADE 220!!!! HOORAY!!!!!!! now i can make something along the lines of either meema's felted bag (if i can find my copy of s'n'b in the pit of my bedroom..) or something like this tote which is very similar!! yayayayyyyy!!!! :) (also, green.. yum yum yum. :)

this'll be the last photo i post here - but this shows you the WEALTH of naughty but delicious and fun japanese sweets she sent, along with a jar of homemade jam (the thing with fruits on the lid) and other bits and bobs. i feel highly spoilt. :) if anyone reading this want for any bizarre reason to see more more more of what i got, i've put all my images on my flickr account and you can find them here (hopefully if the link doesn't break! just in case, my user name is difazio, and the set is secret pal 7.)
anyway. my secret pal rules and i just want to be able to get to know her in return! it's quite frustrating!! oh, also in the box was a mix cd which i've briefly skimmed - no track listing, so lots of guesswork (itunes didn't recognise them either) and there's definitely some killers, strokes and other indie-ish music interspersed with cool random country/bluegrass sounds.. some lady singers... and then HORROR OF ALL HORRORS - the 'humps' song from black eyed peas to round it all off!! noooooo!!!! the rest of the cd was so good! :pp so yes, young hm, if you are reading this - how can you like the black eyed peas?! they used to be decent prior to fergie joining (or so lee rants on at me), and now she just gyrates around being a bit slutty and bleh!
(please don't take offense, i still love you! i just feel very strongly about that song!! :>)
