books read:
Leviathan, scott westerfeld: how did he do it to me again? i had 8 pages left when i realized that he was going to stick me with a cliffhanger. why did i not have my guard up? the one skill he has that sets him above every other teen author is his cliffhangers, why shouldn't he use it? i enjoyed it, even though it was, gag, pretty steampunk. read with... i can't think of a book that matches up well with this. he has made something that - while it owes a lot to a certain kind of old fashioned storytelling, what with the paralell plotlines, the girl pretending to be a boy so she can be a hero, there is something fresh and original here. even as it's not as good as he can be at his best.
