...or more like 10 minutes:
I got the song "Guys and Dolls" from
the musical of the same name stuck in my head a while ago, like days or weeks, and I can't get it out. Around 3:40 I was on the way back from a brief walk to Meliora - a walk with no real purpose - when I had the craving to actually listen to it instead of just clawing at the
earworm. After a few seconds of thinking "How can I do this without paying for it or going to much effort?" I hit upon a great solution. Not iTunes, not BitTorrent, not anything online...
THE LIBRARY. I am on the campus of a major research university. Surely the library can help me in times of media needs! (Books - check 'em out!)
OMFG I forgot how handy libraries can be for this sort of thing. (I'm sorry, Mom)
Thankfully they had
a copy over at the good ol' Rush Rhees which I was able to pick up & be back at my office in under 10 minutes. Hot diggity.
It was a fun weekend. Yesterday I took Amtrak home from the previous night's party. Think about that one... Then
groorg1,
svino, Meg, Alex & I went to see The Bourne Ultimatum. I'm not even going to link to its IMDB or WikiPedia page. I spent a good half the movie thinking about work, another half wondering if I'd just fallen asleep, and the entire thing laughing at how silly it was while vomiting at the shaky-cam. I was very busy... Especially when my right knee started itching like crazy. What gives, knee?
Now back to sweet, sweet stimuli selection. :-\ On the agenda for the evening: some laundry, green chile chicken stew, ice cream?... Delicious.
