Peaking poorly

1. lizzybeth529 and I just stumbled upon my real backup plan. It's not to own a leftist patisserie. It's to have a talk show a la Jimmy Kimmel, who has oodles of "friends" (childhood and celeb, I suppose - never watched JKL much) to come on & hang out & be on TV. Doesn't that sound like fun? Oh, me. I remember looking forward to college and thinking of all the Fun Things To Do There. (Side: WTF is that page? Stuco's official page on jhu.edu is ass. So ass I won't even link to it. Stuco.org is dead. Secure connection on a non-jhu domain? Weird.) I wanted a radio show. The closest I got was a guest host gig with photofigment when ___sudden couldn't make it one night. And more recently gnothi_se_auton and I talked about doing a podcast together. This point has gotten digressive.

2. (Good thing I wrote tags first so I can remember what I want to say) Yesterday was weird weird weather. Is it hail if it's a really tiny sphere? And if it melts upon hitting the ground, despite whipping wind? One piece of precipitation was 3 little globs glommed together. I had no words for snow. Sometimes I wish LL had tags... A friend describes miscellaneous weather as "It's Rochestering out." Seemed apt, but I wasn't quite sure if that's the sort of weather event he was aiming for.
EDIT: A sighing know-it-all tells me that this is "sleet", and that I should've paid better attention during Earth Science instead of talking to a girl whom I'd 4 years later take to the senior prom. These things really can't be helped. I don't lose sleep at night over this.

3. I should be working on my Oz2 design. Oof... Probably gave myself too much distance from it (2 weeks since I met with D&M) to really have any idea what I'm talking about in my notes. Grah.

4. ACA, lizzybeth529 and I went to see Abababa (warning: movie plays upon arrival, frames) perform last night. Really fun show. Kind of like a CODA David Sedaris? I was definitely a bit "left out" on some things, because I'm not used to deaf speech (think Joey on West Wing) and I don't know ASL. He's coming to Gallaudet next week, if any of you in DC want to venture out there for something a little different.

Now Sammy is climbing on me.
