I'm not going to lie: lazy and infrequent though I may be there as a contributor, I do miss having
E2 to check for recipes and amusement.
The weekend away was nice, even though the UR team lost both games. We stayed at JenLev's in Buffalo, then hung out on
Elmwood Ave for Saturday afternoon before a trip to the Falls, American side. The funniest part was (who knew there was a funny part to Niagara Falls?), without a doubt,
this sign. It reminds me of some dance segment from a movie or something, involving a guy taking really big steps, leaning back and waving his hands. Any ideas?
Kudos to everyone in class this morning, especially to
antinats for being the only person I've ever seen cite a court case in a neuroscience lecture, let alone TWO. My paper turned out tolerably. Not great, not as bad as others I've done. I hope my presentation was at least mildly coherent?
I'm now in touch with the student I'm hosting this weekend for recruitment. Should be interesting, of course.
My wireless connection at home has been spottier than normal recently. "You are connected to the access point, but the Internet cannot be found" may be my least favorite sentence in the English language. Especially frustrating because I am damned if I can figure out what's wrong, other than that it's between my computer and my router. This doesn't happen with KK's computer, or my parents' router, or anything. It's frustrating.
Thanks to
craigslist, I now own speaker stands for my front surround speakers. $10 cheap. Woot. Got a little/lot lost on the way out to Penfield, but everything turned out fine. Even got in a visit to the Penfield Target.
Grading never ends. But it might tonight? How is there NOTHING on TV? Why am I tagging this entry so hard?
