A strike at Indian airports will make the trip interesting. The BBC's take, for those of you who prefer them.

Should I join this if I'm eligible? I am of two minds on class action suits.: one is that I love money, but I'm rarely actually negatively impacted by the issues raised. (Though the Palm suit was different.)

I think it's a silly lawsuit. There are plenty of other audio devices out there that (a) are compatible with earbuds and (b) can exceed safe hearing levels. The devices give us the freedom to play our music as loud as we want, and it's up to us to use our judgment to use them properly. I'd hate to see things get to the point where nothing works very well because the manufacturers are afraid they'll be sued if someone gets hurt using their products. Next, we'll be seeing cars with top speeds of 30 mph and steakhouses that only provide butterknives.

Actually the woman who sued McDonalds because of hot coffee had good reason. According to something I read (which I can't seem to find now) McDonalds keeps their coffee at hotter than drinkable levels, in fact at a temperature hot enough to scald, because so many of their customers buy it and then don't drink it until they get to work. Thus keeping it at scalding temperatures keeps it hot until they get to work to drink it. So she sued not because hot coffee burned her, but because hot coffee was so hot it scalded her.
