Okay, so the implants are off. Which is great, yes, I'm really glad they're gone, but now I think we're stuck for a different reason.

My GPS keeps getting scrambled whenever I get close to leaving, and I end up going the wrong way every time. And the fog's not helping me navigate, either. It's really starting to get on my nerves... I hope someone ( Read more... )

No, I haven't. For all appearances, this is the same Gotham that those who originally came from it, but... not. Everything is the same from the weather to street and store locations and more. Someone has obviously gone to great lengths to replicate it and transport us here.

The only differences are obvious: the restriction of the city limits, the fog, and us.

Well, that's fun. [sigh]

What about the civilians that are here? Do you know if they've been taken from other places, too?

Civilians? From the fact that they're not asking questions and aren't panicking, it looks like they've been here all their lives.

At least we're not assuming that this is a dream anymore.

I believe that the best thing to do at the moment, while our implants are disabled, is to find a doctor, have them removed, and then find a competent meteorologist and find out why this fog is acting so peculiar.

It's more like a nightmare, anyway. One of the ones you get if you eat weird stuff before going to bed.

All right. Doctor. Meteorologist. I don't know any doctors, and, somehow, I doubt you could call the weather people around here "competent". I'll look around, though.

[And he might also be planning to have the Scarab remove his. Somehow.]

Ha! I've had those before. Still am never gonna go to that Chinese place on that one corner.

Do be careful with whatever Doctor you chose to have it removed. Something is telling me that this will not last for very long.
