[There's wind in the background when the device turns on. He's out in the open air, on a rooftop most likely. His tone is business-like.]
So.
How many do-gooder types are there running around this shit-hole of a town? I lost count a couple weeks back.

Might be a good thing to know.

Weird.]
I've seen a few.
[Another pause.]
The Bat's missing.

Too bad you're not.
[Yeah, like it was going to last.]

You always did have trouble seeing the bigger picture.

[Oh, time paradoxes.]

[But since it's stuff she'll find out on her own eventually anyway he attaches a list of names and/or ID numbers: Red Robin, Blue Beetle, Zatanna, Flash, Elissa Powers, Husk, and Hawkeye. Midnighter and Rorschach are listed separately.]
Grayson seems to have disappeared.
[He should know; he's been looking out for the Bat's kids. :|]

[Some of the others aren't too surprising, since they're the JLA. Except one...]
Blue Beetle, huh? He's not that bad.
[She thinks he's talking about Jaime. It doesn't really occur to her that - oh hey! - dead people come back to life! Actually, she really doesn't like to think about that.]
Where'd he disappear to? Back to the time vortex he fell out of? Ha. Good riddance.
[There's still hostility in her tone, but it's subdued. She's not stupid; getting information this way is taking less time than finding it herself. She's not sure why he's being so magnanimous, but hey, one step at a time here.]

[It's not that weird to Slade since he's already died several times and managed to come back. Plus, this is Gotham is more fucked than the one they know anyway so he figures some things are just going to be off.]
He's probably not the one you're thinking of.
[As for Dick, well...]
Looks that way.
[He is being a bit magnanimous, but it's mostly because he's at least somewhat concerned that she's here. It's not a good situation, and he would prefer if she wasn't caught up in it. And, of course, there's the fact that she's not screaming about killing him, which is...strange, but not exactly a bad thing.]

Too bad we can't all just go back to whatever time vortex we popped out of.
[Oh, awkward silence. After a minute, she just drops off the connection. She never was fond of saying goodbye.]
