(no subject)
Today was pretty nice. I played some frisbee golf with nate and cody and felts-bob, and then we got some frostee freeze. After that, in kind of a suprise twist, I get a call from Sami(nate's sister) and I got invited to see Yellowcard and Something Corporate in Chicago, and I accepted of course, not only do I like those bands, but they had an extra ticket:D and let me tell you, the city is freaking crazy, not only were we in the korean district, but the Strokes were playing right next door, and so parking anywhere within a 20 block radius was out of the question, which really kind of added to the fun. anywho, we only caught about 2 seconds of the first band The Format, and they really impressed me, especially for an opener. Then came Something Corporate, and they were AMAZING, I didn't know how much I would like them, because I only knew a few songs of theirs, but it was really just amazing and inspiring, and my lyrical gears have been kinda spinning since. then yellowcard played, and they were really good too, but we only stayed for a few of their songs because we wanted to beat traffic, and they were hungry. we didn't really beat traffic because the Strokes let out EXACTLY when we left, but it was still fairly decent traffic. then when I got back, the gang had a meeting at the oasis, and it was good times. so yeah, all in all, a good day.
