Solving a problem (tagging Harry Dresden)

Jan 08, 2009 09:49

Molly is looking for Harry. She promised not to do magic, but opening her third eye was more... letting magic happen, than doing it. Actually trying to break a spell, however, she knew would clearly fall out of bounds. So it's time to hunt for her teacher.

(Of course, if anyone else turns up, she will take time to say hello.)

If Molly is out at night, she can certainly come across a familiar figure - though unfortunately, not Harry. Pandora is on a windowsill, reading a book and making notes, and she'll look up at the girl.

"Well. I see we've both changed since we last met."

She's not really laughing. She just spent the day as a Falcon, and part of it in her very dark room. It wasn't the best of times - and presumably, her boyfriend is still a wolfhound.

T: I'mapoke Harry-mun for you. She usually doesn't look that much at the flist. <3

"Oh." She blinks. "...yeah." She can definitely tell something's changed, at the very least. "How are you?"

T: Oh, thank you. ^_^ I'd appreciate it.

Lydia's own changes are rather more subtle - her eyes are no longer hazel, but golden, there's fangs neatly tucked away in her mouth, her nails are shining preternaturally, and her skin is a bit paler, though still olive-hued. As for Molly's new thing - well - telepaths can feel such things, we suppose.

"I'm well, thank you. And yourself?"

T: No worries, is all good. I fixed as I could. <3

"I'm alright. Just a little worried for a friend."

"It's a sign that you are a kind heart," Lydia replies gently. "Would you like a listening ear?"

"I'm actually looking for my... for someone in particular who can help."

"With the... new thing?" Whatever it may be?

"My friend. It's alright - I think my teacher can take care of it, when I find him."

"I hope so for you," she replies. "Do you want to talk about it, in case it doesn't work out?"

Pandora can possibly feel the information already, unless Molly can shield her mind - she's not probing per say, but if the story is on the surface, she might seep it, involuntarily.

Molly actually shields her thoughts regularly, so it's unlikely to be picked up casually. It was one of the first things Harry taught her.

"Well, it's nothing tragic or anything. He's just gotten enchanted, is all."

Pandora notes that... silence... and finds it very valuable. It's been a while since she hasn't had this break. Not since her last disastrous attempt at being human.

"Ah, those," she replies thoughtfully. "What manner of enchantment is it, do tell?"

"It made him older than he should be."

"That's new." She sighs, a little. "I guess this place never ceases to improvise new ways to play with the people here. Is it bad for him?"

"I can't tell. I don't think so, but it's worrying his sister."

"I can imagine how disturbing it would be for family members." She tilts her head, examining her. "You look rather concerned yourself."

"Well. I've only just met him, but yeah, a little."
