Molly is a little homesick. She hasn't seen Harry or the twins in awhile, and much as she'd hate to admit it, she misses her parents and the Jawas. So, to combat the feeling, she's continued her exploration of the Mansion. And she discovered, among other things, a game closet. So, she's currently spread out on the floor, sorting through piles ( Read more... )

Here's another pair of twins, Molly. They're peering from a doorway, curiously.

This girl has strange hair.

She looks up and smiles a bit. "Hey. You can come in, if you want."

The boys come closer, one grinning, the other following more sternly, a bit wary, even. "What are you doing?" asks the grinning twin.

"I'm sorting out the games." She smiles. "If someone wants to play, everything will be ready." She's at ease with children, it seems, and splits her attention between them, though she's addressing the one who asked the question. "Want to see?"

The friendly twin takes a step in Molly's direction, followed closely by his serious sibling. "Well -- what are they?" The boy is smiling, the other one is curious.

"All kinds. I know some of these - " she indicates a stack that includes Mousetrap, Monopoly, Life and Twister. "And some I don't know yet, but if they have directions, we could figure out. And there's some decks of cards, for those kind of games. Mostly indoor stuff, for when you can't play outside."

"Oooooh." The friendly twin looks at the twister game, and frowns. "I don't know this script. What is it?"

The serious twin is just looking at Molly - assessing if she is safe, or not.

"It's English. So you can read something else? I've got a stack here with things that aren't English." She indicates a smaller stack.

Molly (despite her magic talent, depending on your point of view) seems friendly and kind. She's done a great deal of babysitting in her life, and figures the quiet twin will join in when he's ready.

Little boys of half-elven descent would hardly begrudge Molly for her magical talent - their great-grandmother was an angelic being, after all. Èlurèd is mostly cautious by habit, while Èlurìn's natural tendency to trust strangers has forced him to over-compensate.

Èlurèd walks over to the stack of non-English boxes, but doesn't seem to find anything that makes sense to him. Èlurìn smiles, a little. "Did you want to play a game, Lady?"

"I'd love to. Let's see..." She looks through the boxes. "Well. We could do Candyland, or Chutes and Ladders." She grins. "Or Go Fish."

"What's Go Fish?" The friendly twin asks, as his brother comes to lean nonchalantly against him, an arm wrapped loosely around his brother's shoulders.

"It's a card game." She grabs a deck of cards. "Do you guys know your numbers?"

"But of course we do," the serious twin replies. "But we don't write them very well."

"That's okay, you don't need to write them." She deals out three hands of seven cards and sets the rest of the deck down. "Alright. You can look at your cards, but don't show them to anyone else."

Elurin looks at his cards, and grins. "Oh, they're really pretty." Elured, more serious and to the point, asks, "What do they mean?"

"Alright. So there are four types of cards. Hearts, diamonds, clubs (which look like little clovers) and spades. So there's four of each number in the deck, one for each type. The numbers go 2 through 10, then there are aces (which are ones) and people. The kings are the men with crown, the queens are the women with crowns, and the jacks are the men without crowns. Got all that?"
