Glenn has never been much of a fighter, always afraid of hurting someone else, he wouldn’t even defend himself from bullies who would hit him because he was afraid to fight. His only protector, Cyrus taught him how to defend himself and it soon became clear that Glenn was very skilled with a sword and had everything but the drive to be an excellent solider.
When Cyrus joined the knights, he asked Glenn to join him since the younger man was good with a sword and had the honor required of a knight. However, Glenn merely stated he was too cowardly and afraid of hurting people.
However, Glenn’s warm and soft heart was hardened when he could do nothing but watch as Cyrus was slaughtered in front of him. When the mage who killed Cyrus turned Glenn into an anthropomorphic frog, the already antisocial boy became more reclusive. Only Glenn’s loyalty to Queen Leene, and later, the protagonist, Crono, caused him to stop hiding from the world.
Through the events of the game, it becomes clear that the young, scared, innocent boy that Glenn used to be no longer exists. Since he lived with the guilt of Cyrus’ death, Glenn dropped his views about violence, recognizing it as a necessary evil. Other than being a fierce fighter, and stubbornly loyal, Glenn also has the patience of a saint, waiting ten years to get his vengeance, and is almost overly polite to everyone he meets; often referring to people as ‘Miss’ or ‘Sir’. Glenn is the epitome of the chivalrous white knight.

The setting sun shone brightly from where Glenn stood at the top of Guardia Castle’s walls, its glow illuminating the town’s dwindling activity as everyone with sense retired for the night. The green-haired man knew he should turn in as well, expecting a fresh batch of trainees in the morning.
He sighed as he turned away to head inside. He liked life in the castle, serving the king and queen; it was all he had ever wanted. However, a part of him still longed for the adventure and new experiences that had come with traveling along side Chrono, Lucca, and everyone. Just one more adventure, not a mission, not a quest, but an adventure, something he could learn new things from and grow. He chuckled to himself as he passed through the near-empty halls, maybe what he really needed was a holiday, something to pull him out of routine and put him back on his feet.
A knight came up to him, a smile on his face. Glenn looked him over, the man’ face running through his mind until it matched the name that belonged to it.
“Have a good night, Sir Glenn.”
Ah! Right, Corus, a new knight who had only recently been given the title.
“And I wish the same to you, Corus. May your sleep be filled with nothing but pleasant visions, remember, we rise with the sun, the recruits shall not train themselves.”
“Of course, Sir Glenn.” The younger man smiled and nodded, letting Glenn past.
Yes perhaps after this batch Glenn would take a holiday and find some adventure, what little was left in this land.
