[ The feed clicks on to show the forest at about noon. There is a young man(?) with long green hair currently tied back into a ponytail who appears to be practicing a sequence of steps, attacks and blocks with his sword, creating a graceful yet deadly dance. However, he is alone and his only victim is the air before him. He's not aware that the SFC ( Read more... )

Hmm? Oh, this device is troublesome, is it not?

Yes, I can. It is an ability I have only had for all of two years, but, I feel at ease with it. Is it something you are capable of doing as well?

Heh. At least you don't have nosy birds turning it on. [Nope, not gonna explain that one.]

Kinda. My boyfriend's a lot better at it, 'tho. I'm still getting the hang of it, but he can do all sorts of things. He can even make duplicates of himself with it.

Duplicates? That is quite impressive! I would not have thought that possible, though, I suppose, with magic, anything has potential.

I don't mean to pry...but, did you say boyfriend? Is it so common a thing where you come from that this is not something you must hide?

That's what I thought! Learnin' a lot more about magic the longer I stay here. I guess it just makes sense for him, because he used to live underwater before Vatheon.

Huh? [Lea blinks and tilts his head slightly to the side.] Well, yeah. Is that weird for where you're from?

A sea-being? How marvelous. I've always been partial to the sea, myself. I wonder...do you think there may be a way for him to teach me how to do something similar? I would love to learn what I could from him.

[He shakes his head sadly.] No. It is considered....unnatural by most of my people. Though, it is my understanding from some of my friends that this is a belief from my era, and not one that remains throughout time.

Probably! He's kind of lazy, 'tho, ha, but don't worry about it. His name is Demyx if you want to ring him up sometime.

It's still weird when I hear about this sort of thing... Like, I can get that there are different races like humans and trolls and mermaids and stuff, and all the different magic, but when it comes down to cultural differences... It still seems so weird to me.

I will do that, thank you, young Sir. [Polite forever~]

I suppose it might. I can understand that sentiment for it is strange to me to hear of places and times where the culture is not set like this. It would make for a happier place, for those like us, if the times were...more accepting.

Still, you give me hope, and I thank you for that.

..Just Lea's fine, man. I don't think I've done anythin' really amazing to get a title yet.

Oh! If you think my culture is weird, then you should meet one of the trolls. Have you, yet?
