Cheapness > Convenience
So I spent the entirety of yesterday doing this:

For those thinking, "Congrats on your new Mac", I'll turn your attention to the little HP emblem under the screen. Sure... I COULD have just bought a Mac, but even the most rudimentary Mac Mini is $650. And I can't take it to Starbucks and be all cool-like.
Stuff like this isn't really big news in the blogging world anymore, but it was a personal victory after trying to get it to run on my desktop computer for about 4 hours intermittently tweaking the BIOS in an increasingly desperate effort. OSX is supremely picky when it comes down to the hardware it allows itself to run on, and my desktop computer just plain won't do it because of the way MSI implements ACPI that remains unsolved by up and downgrading the firmware. An absolutely crying shame.
