Afterburn

We are back from Flipside. Since this was my first Burn event, I really don't have anything to compare it to. What I can say is that it was an incredibly profound event and an awe inspiring experience. My mind was sad for it to end, but my body was glad to be in its own bed after a long hot shower. Julie and I were both passing out on the couch before we even got Kai off to bed last night. We both went to bed pretty early for us and woke feeling sleepy, achy, and a little sluggish. Is it crazy that we've already had some great ideas kicked around for next year. I can't wait!!

Here are some highlights and memories:

• Serving tacos to the masses.
  
• Time well spent with phenomenal friends.
  
• Meeting new friends.
  
• Having AC in the temple tent.
  
• Having a wonderful wife to experience all of this with (thank you for everything Julie)
  
• The creek.
  
• Showering with friends :)
  
• Naked people.
  
• My truck holding everything we needed to take with us and handling the rough terrain like it was flat road.
  
• Naked hugs.
  
• MILF and cookies.
  
• The wonderfulness that is Root Beer Camp. You guys rock!!
  
• Random acts of kindness.
  
• Random acts of gifting.
  
• Exploring the Effigy and sliding down the slide.
  
• Seven person group bathing (the washing of the goddesses - and then the goddesses washed the helpers :).
  
• Breast milk ice cream (yes, you read that right) and root/creme/lemon creme/ginger/sarsaparilla/birch beers from Root Beer Camp!
  
• Letting loose my inner photographer.
  
• Being mostly naked for 5 days.
  
• THE BURN!
  
• Very low drama factor.
  
• Food/people/musical/visual PORN!
  
• Musical Tesla Coils (i've got video of that one)
  
• No sunburn. (only a little red on the last day from packing up without putting sun screen on)
  
• Cult of the Purple Taco achieving cult status with a growing cult following at it's first year.
