[For the last couple of weeks, Squall has mostly been nowhere to be seen - or heard, for that matter. Today, however, he finally breaks radio silence, as his journal picks up his quiet question as he finally makes his way back into town.]
...That time already?

Since then she's been exploring the strange journal that had been sitting near where she remembers waking up. At first it seems novel and rather strange and then out of nowhere a familiar voice emerges from it and she actually drops the journal in shock. Is she hearing things? That can't be who it sounds like, can it?
Scrambling to pick up the journal again, she tries to figure out just how to make the thing work.]
Squall? [There's the shuffle of pages as she tries to figure out if maybe it took a certain page to get this just right.] Squall, is that really you? Where are we? This isn't Garden.
[Of course she's not really sure if he can even hear her or if maybe she's imagined his voice to begin with. After a moment she shakes her head, not sure what to believe right now.]
This is silly. I feel like I'm talking to myself.

Rinoa?
[There are so many questions he wants to ask, so many things to catch up on, but he settles for nodding, even if she can't see him doing it.]
You aren't talking to yourself. And it's called Luceti.

Squall? So it really is you, but how? Voices can't really come from books, can they? [She looks around her curiously, wondering if that's what he meant.]
So this place is called Luceti? I don't remember a country named anything even close to that.

The book's like a radio. Don't ask me how.

There are others who have them right, these weird little wigs? It's not just me... is it?

Where am I? [Her voice picks up a teasing note.] Luceti. You said so yourself didn't you?
[Before he has a chance to get annoyed, she adds on.]
I'm not really sure. Somewhere with a lot of trees?

[Not that he's not heading back out that way anyway, of course.]

Sorry. All I can see are trees and more trees. [Which isn't so bad, it's like being lost in the forests near Timber if she imagines it hard enough.]

[He'll get there eventually, he figures. And he doesn't mind looking, either.]

So how long have you been here on Luceti, Squall?
