[filtered from Kefka]

What can you tell me about Kefka?

((This is mostly aimed at the FFVI cast, but since Squall figures other people might be interested in the answers, he's filtered so that pretty much everyone can see it. And if someone not from the FFVI cast has anything to say they're more than welcome to speak up~.))

Are you more curious about what he can do, or what he has actually done? Or do you more want an idea of what he is like?

Whatever you're willing to tell me.

That is quite a bit actually. First of all, it is likely best to understand that he and I are the results of an experiment done by the Empire that raised us. I assure you, I'm nothing like him. Something happened that caused him to lose touch with reality and he is definitely far from sane.

He uses magic primarily. Unlike me, he has no preference for using a weapon. You'll find that physical attacks work very well on him. However, he tends to crack even further when you harm him, if you can harm him. I will admit, it isn't an easy thing.

I also can say, he has told me nothing but lies, even knowing that I would recognize them as lies. None of us know what time frame he is from, though we all suspect it is from after all of us, which means he has absorbed the power of our three goddesses of magic too.

Put simply, he's very dangerous. The fact that people here cannot truly die will just amuse him even more.

He said he was the one of the ones that didn't go mad. I'm guessing that was a lie?

From my own discussion with him, I'm seeing that what he says is actually the opposite of the truth. There are many in this village besides my friends who can assure you that I am not in the least bit insane, but yet I was part of that same experiment.

How many were involved in the experiment?

I have no idea the exact numbers. I only know that the only subjects here in Luceti are myself and Kefka.

He said there were about thirty of them. Would he have a reason to know the numbers better than you do.

The person who would know the numbers the best would be a man named Cid. He was the head of the Magitek research facility. Unfortunately, he is not here, and in the time I'm from, he is no longer among the living either.

Kefka did work for the Empire far longer than I did, but I held a higher rank than he did. I doubt Cid would confide in him anything. Emperor Gesthal might have, since the man was about as hungry for power as Kefka was, and that eventually caused his demise at Kefka's hands.

Did you know him before he went insane?

I've unfortunately known him far longer than most of my friends have. Terra wouldn't remember that time, I do.

I didn't get a good look at him, but if he is around the same age as I am, he is not of a sound mind.

Would you be able to remember what spells he could cast when he was still sane?

I do admit, that is a tricky question because none of us are truly sure the exact time he went insane. We just know he for sure started showing signs at a younger age, around the early teens for sure.

He knew more than I did, I'd say at most, the second level spells, such as Fira and the like. Anything greater than that would definitely be from beyond when he was still sane.

Right. I'll keep that in mind.

I'm glad you are willing to at least listen. Kefka definitely uses lies as a tactic against us. He tried to tell my friends that I was a spy so they would lose trust in me. It almost worked too ( ... )

I'm not going to discount your story just because of what he's said. Besides, his story doesn't seem to check out.

And I'll keep an eye on him.
