Costumes, Counting, and Lovable Pervs
I was reminded yesterday of one reason I enjoyed the anime Fruits Basket so much...
I love Shigure. If I was Tohru, I'd say forget Yuki and Kyo...Shigure is the perv, I mean man, for me :G:
Counting Down! 9 days until lycanthrophile gets here!! 12 days until Dragon*Con!!
I'm gonna have a costume this year! Woot! I'm gonna be Kaede, from Inuyasha (for those of you that don't know). She was the only character I could think of that was as fat as me :G:
It took some work to find everything I needed, since the costume company only provided the outfit and eye patch - I still had to acquire shoes, a wig, and weaponry. Lots of places online carried the Zori sandals, but the cheapest price was through a martial arts place - they were so cheap I ended up ordering 3 pairs! :G: It took a while to find a wig that was the right style and color, but I couldn't get it in time. I finally ended up with hair extensions. It was a last-ditch effort, and it'll have to do this year. I'll order the wig for next year. As for the weaponry, Kaede uses a bow and sacred arrows. My cousin is going to loan me his longbow, homemade quiver and homemade arrows. Whee! Though I'll only carry the arrows in the parade (if I participate).
I bought Hope a costume as well. She is going to be Tsunade from Naruto. The only extra things she needed was shoes, which I found after MUCH searching, and a stuffed pig, which she already had. She's excited, of course :)
The other thing I've got going on for Dragon*Con is, of course, the fangs that I bought last year. I bought a pair of costume contacts to wear with them; now to just put together an all-black, borderline goth outfit... :G:
This is gonna be the best Dragon*Con yet.
