SO... after a nice but semi-awkward grad dinner for Jesse, Nate and I set out upon our search for the rum. We found
Rhum Barbancourt at the first place we stopped, in Southbury. It was the aged 15 years variety at $40 a bottle. Well, we figured we would set out to find the 8 year and possibly less expensive variety. Apparently no liquor store in the several town area has this liquor and many haven't even heard of it. WTF? It was beyond their class apparently. We returned to the Southbury place two hours and nine liquor stores later to purchase our choice rum.
The cocoa was oh so very nice.
If I charge $5 a glass at parties I could break even. I feel somehow sophisticated with my expensive and tasty rum.
