Future Books, a little late.

Well, it's been awhile since I last updated. Haven't been hanging round the old blogging holes lately. Kindle looks pretty cool, but I'm waiting for something like this to be less than $400. It's like a reader on StarTrek. I've done some limited research on the subject, but most readers seem to be poor substitutes for books or even poor substitutes for reading pdf files. Heck Portable is supposed to be part of pdf right? The kindle is the first one I've seen that looks decent. Too bad I can't pick one up and hold it right now to see better in person. If anyone knows of a better device let me know. I'm tempted to make one myself. I've got an old LCD computer screen that if I can monkey a small circuit board and software into would be terrific. Then there's the power supply issue. Come on science-tech people, we can do this. No more proprietary document formats. Lets all share our technology and have a better planet.
