Enter the Darkness

Dec 06, 2004 19:46

As I stood there thinking,
my heart continued sinking,
I had no memory of this place.

Outside the beast's dwelling,
with all my anger swelling,
I wondered if my victory was a waist.

Blood on my hands,
could not understand
I just needed to rest.

Where was I?
Had to try,
to make sense of this forest.

Was not where I started,
the woods where I darted,
after he took you.

All I can see
is misfortune fall on me
in this place that is new.

Far from our home,
where our families roam,
in their quaint world of happiness

They cannot conceive,
beyond what they believe,
outside our real world of distress.

Do they know,
where I go?
What fate I will meet?

How can Heaven predict
the ultimate verdict
that could mark my defeat?

As the light fades from this day,
I begin to walk away,
toward the falling sun in the sky.

The stars will be out soon,
haloed by the moon,
as time continues to fly,

It is us that time is against,
keeping me from your defense,
watching with glee

As Death dost loom,
I step toward my doom,
into a world I cannot see.

My feet fall heavily on the ground,
making not a sound,
As I lose sight of the world around
And the darkness begins to surround.
