Well...crap.
I wanted to see how long I could go without posting to LJ. Not long enough, apparently.
I got to see the trailer to the Wachowski`s latest endevor; "Speed Racer" today. I am VERY excited for this movie, and I`m not sure what that says about my mental health. At the very least, it looks very, very pretty.
I also got to play Eye of Judgement for the PS3 today. For the uninitiated, EoJ is an honest-to-goodness Wizards of the Coast TCG very much like Magic: the Gathering; you spend mana to summon monsters and cast spells, all with the hopes of defeating the oppoent on the other end of the table. Unlike MtG, however, this game has a camera watching all the table-top action. This camera (the "Eye" in the title) is connected to a PS3 which keeps track of all stats (no more arguments!), and offers a nifty visual representation. Essentially, when you place a monster card on the game mat, a fully animated counterpart materializes in the proper place onscreen, complete with snazzy battle animations. Basically, anyone who`s ever watched or read Yu-gi-oh (I know you people are out there!) and thought "That hologram thing would be actually kinda cool!" needs to get this game. MAN I want a PS3...
True to form, I watched more FSN and EL; eps 11-12 of FSN, and 10-11 of EL.
Thoughts:
FSN: HAET PURPLE LOLI! And the final fight between Rider and Saber was a little (read: VERY) dissapointing. BEAM SPAM FTW!
EL: Two episodes left. All signs are pointing to either a friggen awesome or a DEPRESSING AS HELL finale. I think I will be sad when this one is over, in one way or the other. Also, No. 37 is probably one of the best villains, or at the very least, one of the best ideas for a villain ever.
