This duck-this girl--is amazing to Sasame. He feels like he’s caused her a lot of harm, particularly since she had feelings for him and he ended up hurting her because of it. But she still remains a kind, loving person toward him without any sign of bitterness. Yes, sometimes she can be clumsy or silly, but she constantly surprises him with how much of a genuinely good person she is. She’s one of the few that he’s told anything about Takako to, and the only one he told without being pressured or cursed. After her reaction to the story-that “the past is the past”-he was moved and now considers her a confidant and close friend.

Despite his love for a girl back home, and despite knowing about Rue’s Prince, Sasame has recently had to come to term with a bitter fact-he adores Rue. He may, in fact, be in love with her. And she would never, ever love him. Nor should she, Mytho makes her happy and he’s not from her world. But still…it’s difficult to bear. At times he gets anxious and avoids her, but he wants to be near her and make her happy, so like a glutton for punishment he keeps coming back to her. It’s likely only a matter of time before this causes trouble…
Rue is also one of only three people that know about Takako, and probably the one that has gotten the most information about it. He trusts that she’ll never use it against him, but he likely wouldn’t have told her if he hadn’t been cursed into falling in love with her in the first place.

She reminds him a bit of Mawata, Himeno’s step-sister and a listener of his show, although she’s outwardly more cheerful than Mawata is.

Sasame thinks Klavier seems like a pretty cool guy--and he's pretty impressed with his career, because he seems much more famous than Sasame ever was. He’s never quite sure how to handle Klavier’s somewhat flirtatious teasing of him. He's used to being the one doing the flirting, so being on the receiving end of it throws him off.

He has no idea if Sousuke is some sort of action film nerd or an actual soldier, although he suspects the latter. For now Sousuke is just…a puzzle to him, although he does think the young man had good intentions.

Sasame’s relationship with Fakir is…rocky. He doesn’t think Fakir is a bad person, but a lot of his personality traits are annoyingly close to Hayate’s. He used to actively tease Fakir and bother him, but after Ahiru got a crush on him and he realized Fakir’s feelings for her he started to identify with him a little more. Not that he could actually tell him that, because he feels guilty now. Oops. That being said, if Fakir was ever in danger, Sasame would want to help him.

On one hand Mytho seems like a very nice young prince and devoted to Rue, so Sasame has no real reason to dislike him. On the other hand…Sasame is irrationally jealous of Mytho due to his feelings for Rue, and he realizes this but doesn’t know how he should handle it, so he’s avoided speaking to Mytho much.

Sasame’s never directly spoken to Muraki-he just saw the post broadcast on the Network of Euphemia’s murder. Since Euphemia was someone he cared about, the murderer’s name and face stuck in his mind-Sasame tends to keep an eye on him, just in case.
