3 Personality:
Suzaku has a very strong sense of justice. He is sure he can reach his goals without using wrong means. He would rather sacrifice himself than let a complete stranger die, and values human life. Suzaku still feels strong guilt over his actions he did when he was seven and strongly wishes to make up for them by his own death.
The death of his father is one of his weak spots. It has caused him much psychical pains. He keeps the truth of his fathers death as a secret he can't tell to anyone, not even to his best friend Lelouch.
Kururugi is not afraid to let people close to him, but his greatest fear is to lose someone dear because of his incapability.
He's not afraid to share his philosophical ideals, but he's more of a man of action.
Suzaku is no leader, nor does he use much time pondering on strategy.
He's little naïve, but he knows when to take things seriously. He's a quick leaner, and passionate worker. He might restrain from following orders, especially when the mission includes elimination. Otherwise he's loyal, and he will always give his all.
History:
Before the war Between Britannia and Japan, Suzaku became friends with Lelouch and Nunnally, Britannian prince and princess, who recided at the Kururugi Shrine at the time.
Suzaku was Japanese Prime Ministers son, though his existence was kept as a a secret until war between Britannia and Japan had ended. Once the war began, Suzaku was separated from Lelouch and Nunnally. He was terrified by his father plans not to surrender to Britannia, which was at great advantage. The plan would have caused much casualties to Japanese. Horrified by the idea, Suzaku stabbed his father, killing him nearly instantly. The case was covered up as a suicide, and Japan surrendered unconditionally.
Kururugi joined the Britannian military, to change Britannia from within, instead of joining the terrorist groups created by people who longed for their lost Japan.
He reunites with Lelouch once again, when Suzaku searches around ghetto for poisonous gas. Instead of poisonous gass, he found a mysterious girl, who has still stayed as a complete mystery for Private Kururugi.
Kururugi is given order to shoot the civilian, Lelouch, but he refuses. As a punishment he gets shot. His fathers clock, which he had always held close to him, deflected the bullet and saved him from fatal wounds.
Loyd, who was one of the persons who treated Suzakus wounds at the time, offered him a place as a Knightmare Lancelots pilot. It was truly unusual, since no other than Britannian had been allowed to pilot Knightmare before, and Lancelot was first of the new generation knighmares.
Meanwhile his friend Lelouch had teamed up with terrorists, which Suzaku fighted against. Lancelot being a new model, it deafeated the terrorist easily. Unfortunately, Lelouch managed to murder his brother Clovis, who was managing the ghetto operation. Suzaku, being former Japanese, got accused of this very murder. His friend, masked as Zero, saved him before trial, and asked him to join his terrorist organization. Suzaku refused, believing he could change Britannia from within.
Without knowing, he has been fighting against his friend Lelouch, alias Zero, ever since. He sees Zero as a murderer, and vows to capture him.
After being released of all accusations of being the Prince Clovis' murderer, he met a girl who called herself Euphie. Later it was revealed, that she was one of the Britannian Princesses, Euphemia le Britannia. Something sparked between these two, and Suzaku Kururugi was chosen to be Euphemias knight.
Even though he was know high ranked knight, it did not change the opinions of sociaty. He wasn't openly accepted, but Suzaku didn't let it bother him much.
In the end, Euphemia ordered him to show everyone his powers, instead of staying with her to protect her from sudden attack. Suzaku was captured by Zero, and Suzaku receive a command to hold Zero at the area so he could be shot down. Suzaku was more than ready to sacrifice himself just to defeat Zero. Before they were hit, Lelouch used power called Geass on him, and commanded Suzaku to live on. This caused Suzaku define orders given to him, and he run away from the scene. The Knightamare was destroyed by sudden attack from air, and Suzaku was taken to the island.
Example tag:
Suzaku was silently humming tunes to himself while going trough his hurriedly written journal entries and walking down the jungle path. He hadn't written much, just few sentences per day, to make keeping the track of time easier. Journal seemed much more simple than craving marks on his cabin walls to represent every spent day. Suzaku didn't even consider it as an option. Why would he eagerly give headache to the hotel staff who had treated him so nicely? Even though something was clearly wrong around here. But it wasn't like there was nothing right on the island. It was filled with possible activities, outdoor activities. At least Suzaku would never have to worry about keeping himself in proper shape.
Notes from journal ended, and the PDA device was placed inside Suzakus pocket.
The "welcoming gifts" Suzaku had received from the front desk had been spread around his room. Brunette had searched trough his room and things to gain some sort of information. The others were probably been there for a while longer than him, surely they knew much more than Suzaku of the situation. And so he had left his room unguarded.
Suzaku started to look around him, after the PDA no longer needed his attention. He had clearly wondered too far. Where was he?

I've strolled around the islands for a while. Still no sign of the Britannian troops or Black Knights.
I wonder how's Euphie.
