[Background]
Background [Personality]
Though small, Hikaru has proves that size doesn’t matter, especially if your heart is large enough. When we are first introduced to Hikaru, we see that she’s a very enthusiastic girl and seems to view everything with a brand new pair of eyes. During a class trip to Tokyo Tower, Hikaru is excited to be there while her classmates are bored by the trip. It was through her enthusiasm at looking through the viewfinder that caught the attention of another girl, Fuu, whom she would later go on journey with. Even in Cephiro, Hikaru views the new world and her purpose in it with excitement. She was the first one to accept the idea of being a magic knight, while her other companions were still wary of accepting the title and task before them.
Though passionate, Hikaru is also naïve. Her naïve perception of the world makes other people perceive her as innocent and cute, making people feel they need to protect her. She’s oblivious to how wrong it was for Clef to lift up her skirt, or why they needed to be discreet in the forest of Silence when they meet Ferio, a stranger and potential threat. A reason for her naiveté is that Hikaru trusts anyone until she’s proven otherwise. Unlike some people who are careful of a new person, Hikaru greets them with open arms, believing they only have good intentions towards her. She is also pretty oblivious to matters of the heart. When Lantis asks her to marry him, she doesn’t understand what he’s asking, only thinking that the knight wanted to be friends forever and expressing she feels the same way about everyone.
However, if you prove that you are malicious, especially toward her friends, Hikaru will show the fight within her. Another quality that Hikaru possesses is the confidence in her ability to fight. She’s usually the first to draw her weapon out and attack an enemy. But even greater than her ability to fight, is her strength to protect her friends. Hikaru grows even stronger when her friends are counting on her and it’s their presence that gives her strength. But Hikaru is also not one to hold a grudge, especially if the person seemed reformed. It’s easy for her to forgive a person and start to trust them. An example of this is when she fights Lafarga. Lafarga viciously attacks her, but after being burned by her fire, the knight returns to his senses, she quickly forgives him, disregarding the fact that he inflicted wounds on her and nearly killed her.
Though, Hikaru willingly fights for anyone she considers a friend, she also tends to be selfless, to the point that she’ll allow her body to take a considerable amount of damage. Hikaru will put her life on line for her friends, Umi and Fuu, even if they had not known each other long. Even when she is tested by the Fountain of Eterna, she refuses to lay a hand on her dog Hikari, while it viciously attacks her. Though she is willingly to get hurt, she doesn’t throw her life away either. Hikaru is aware that dying would let the people she cares about down and make them sad. The thought of making anyone sad, empowers her even more and makes her pierce through any obstacle in her way.
Hikaru does have a lot of good qualities but she is flawed. She wants happiness for everyone to the point that she’ll forget about her own feelings. She takes on tasks on by herself, not wanting to burden anyone else. Like Umi comments, Hikaru always places the world on her shoulders. It takes Hikaru awhile to allow the other Magic Knights to help her or confide in them.
Hikaru also matured a lot throughtout the series. At first, she believed a lot of things were black and white. When she first went to Cephiro, she automatically believed Zagato was bad for imprisoning the princess. But after the truth was revealed, that Zagato was not trying to harm the princess, but save her, Hikaru went into a state of depression. What she believed was wrong and she felt an enormous guilt for what she had done. But instead of moping around and allowing the regret to eat at her, she decides to go back to Cephiro, settle her feelings.
It’s no question that Hikaru’s will is strong. She is a girl who strives to complete any goal she wants, without fail. Hikaru is considered the leader of the Magic Knight because of this trait. In a world powered by one’s will, Hikaru proves that by encouraging the other Knights along the way, while keeping up her own resolve, that she has a strong heart. Even more the reason why she was chosen to become the new pillar of Cephiro after Princess Emeraude. Her heart was stronger than that of Eagle, who was following the same path of the princess. It was even her will to save Eagle from disappearing in the testing ground for the pillar, refusing to allow the other man to disappear, even if he didn’t have long to live. Some people might consider her strength of heart to be stubbornness, but rather her will is really her love for everyone.
[Abilities]
Fire Magic- Hikaru was gifted with the magic of fire. She was given this ability when she first traveled to Cephiro and was given the gift by Clef Guru, the most powerful Mage of that world. She only has two attacks, Flame Arrow and Red Lightning, which are pretty strong attacks.
Sword skills- Is pretty adept in swordplay, growing up in a kendo dojo in Tokyo has made her an excellent swordswoman.
Communicate with animals - Hikaru seems to be able to understand animals. It’s no wonder that her dog, Hikari is so close to her and how she managed to make quick friends with Mokona. It seems Hikaru can understand most creature, whether from Earth or from Cephiro.
Magic Knight- Hikaru is one of the Magic Knights, Princess Emeraude summoned to Cephiro. Hikaru is able to transform into one of the magic knights changing out her school uniform to a knightly garb.
Rune God- Because she is a Magic Knight she is able to use the Rune god of Fire, Rayearth, which is a Giant Mecha. [Disabled. Wouldn’t be able to use in Somarium]
[Other important stuff]
- Gets weak when she hasn’t eaten

[First Person]
What do you think of your home world? Tokyo? It's the place where my most important people are and the place that my best friends and I come from. I love my home, there's nothing that will replace it. But Cephiro and Somarium are unique and fun too.
If you could go back home, would you? Why or why not? Tokyo is my home, so if I was sent there I would accept it. I wouldn’t want to worry my brothers and I miss my dog, Hikari. Though, I would miss the people I’ve met here.
What were you doing before now? Making things right in Cephiro.
If you were to describe yourself in one sentence, what would that be? A good friend.
If someone provoked or attacked you, what would you do? They can attack me, but I won't lose. Especially if they want to hurt my friends. I can't allow that!
Someone comes to you to ask for the time. How would you respond? I would tell them the time! Why would I do say otherwise?
Someone is trying to rob you! What do you do? Rob me? If they needed the money I would give it to them. There’s no need to do something like that. I don’t have much, but they could have it.
Would you consider yourself a hero or a villain? Why? A hero! But…I realize now that everything is not so black and white. People are fueled by their desires and sometimes, that desire could harm others. But that doesn’t mean that desire is wrong.
If you could have any super ability, what would it be and why? The power to change into an animal! It’s one thing to understand animals, but I wouldn’t mind being in their shoes for a day.
Your country is in the middle of a war. What do you think of it? Do you support it or try to solve it yourself by going on an epic quest? Explain. If it involves the people I care about, I can't just stand around. I'll do whatever I can to resolve it. In Cephiro there was something similar to a war. People from other countries were invading Cephiro, and since it was our fault that it was without a pillar, Umi, Fuu and I, decided to do what we could for Cephiro.
You are a given a mission. Would you complete it effectively or would you goof off and do something else? Expand a little on the response. A mission! That’s sounds so cool. Of course I would complete it. They’re counting on me and I don’t want to let them down.
Murder. What is your opinion? It’s never okay.
You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why? Save my friend! My friends are very important to me, and I wouldn't take that chance .Ever! And I'll definitely get the person back for trying to harm them.
You discover someone stalking you. Do you call the police or deal with it yourself? Stalking? *blinks* Aren't they just going the same way?
What is more important to you: having friends or living on your own? Why? Having friends. Not only would I be really lonely, but friends are my strength. I’m at my best when I’m with them.
Do you prefer adventure or the peaceful life? Both, Cephiro was fun, but my life in Tokyo was also great. I couldn't place one over the other.
You are suddenly told you are the child of an ancient prophecy to save the world. How do you feel? Will you embark on your journey? Or would you rather shove it onto someone else and run away? Explain. That sounds a lot like being like a Magic Knight. But of course, I’ll do it. Lots of lives are at stake and I don’t want to let them down. No one else can do it, but me.
If you could fight in a giant robot, what would it be and what would you do? Well in Cephiro, I rode in something like a giant robot. Except it was called Rayearth and it was a rune god. I used it to save and protect Cephiro along with my best friends’ rune gods.
[Third Person]
Hikaru laid on the lush green grass, fast asleep. She looked peaceful as she slumbered away underneath the warm sun. But her sleep was interrupted by a small rabbit that approached her, nudging at her hand with a soft touch of its nose. The light touch managed to stir, Hikaru awake, who slowly opened her large red eyes. She blinked her eyes a couple of times, before rubbing at them and then she sat up stretching her limbs. At the corner of her eye, she noticed the creature next to her. She smiled, picking up the furry creature and sitting it in her lap. “I must have fallen asleep. You didn’t want me to oversleep, did you?”
She looked down at the rabbit petting the creature’s soft fur. I was just thinking of my friends. Umi and Fuu. They’re my best friends. Somarium reminds me a lot of them.”
She looked about her surrounding, remembering that she had came to the place, the floating mountain because it reminded her so much of one of her friends back home. When she came, she quickly realize it was nothing like the floating mountain in Cephiro. The landscape for Somarium’s mountain was different. Plus, Windam, Fuu’s rune god was nowhere to be seen. Hikaru had suspected the same thing of Lake Meridian, wondering if the legend of Nessie was actually Umi’s rune god, Ceres. But that also seemed to lead nowhere. Hikaru sighed to herself a bit sadly. She missed her friends.
“This mountain, the lake…they remind me of the hardships we went through together. “ She continued with a sad smile. She would never forget what happened in Cephiro. Everything they had experienced has strengthened her and she’s become a stronger person because of it.
“…I miss them, but I know they wouldn’t want me to mope around. “ She replied as she picked the rabbit up and got to her feet. Her cheerful smile was back and she lifted the rabbit up in the air. “I have to make the best of the situation. Plus, there are a lot of interesting people here. I can make new friends. I can learn new things. I have to be strong until the time I can go back to my world and see them again.”
She then placed the rabbit down, watching it hop off. She then turned, seeing the whole of Somarium before her, seeing it as a land full of adventure and opportunity. “…Or maybe they’ll come here.”
I’ll definitely see them again. I know it!
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Well I’ve been dying to play a girl, but not just any female character. I wanted someone who would be fun, someone I could have a lot of material for and someone that doesn’t annoy me. I think Hikaru fits the bill. Plus CLAMP! Come on!
[Which rule was your favorite and why?]Be Active- it's no fun if no one isn't there to keep threads going
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] Current player, but I found Somarium by accident.
