Bruce's greatest desire given up and for Clark! I liked the world you designed for him, because he could have been happy there, yet he knew he was destined for greater things.

My heart hurt for Bruce while I was writing this!

And that's exactly what I was going for with this. I dunno if you watch the show/seen the episode, but the emotion and dilemma is what I tried to channel into this fic.

No, never seen the episode, but I've heard about it. It IS heartbreaking!

EDIT: Actually, I heard abaout the animated episode, not Superntural.

This was great! People always believe that life would be better if (x) didn't happen but then you might be missing out on something you didn't even know you had.

Exactly. At least Bruce realizes that now, and maybe it'll make the hurt of having to break the illusion less.

Really nice! I especially liked slipping into Clark's point of view at the end, not knowing why Bruce was able to do what he did, but suspecting he'd make the same choice. The bond between them is really palpable, I love it.

Haha I realized halfway through writing it that Clark wasn't even in most of the story, but I really wanted to emphasize their connection despite that.

This is wonderful. It reminds me of "Perchance to Dream," an episode of Batman: the Animated Series. I think it's sweet that Bruce's bond with Kal saves him. Both of them have made the best of their tragic circumstances.
