Bound for Tx.

My foxiness and I are preparing to go to TX for a bit to look for work. AZ has just gotten to bad to bother. We could both one way or another get a job here, but there wouldn't be much of a point. At this point anything I have experience in is beyond my reach for qualifications thanks to the over populated job market. This leaves only entry level work, that won't pay rent. And after working at a job for a year or two that doesn't pay enough to cover living expenses, where do you go work from there. Azcentral is saying there are 30 applicants per job in Phoenix, Austin reports 3. There is more IT work in Austin, out here, what work is left is useless. Otherwise, I'll just get a job in retail, I'm good at it and enjoy it, and theres always advancement in retail.

I'm not sure when we're leaving, I wanted to actually be there by the first week of July. A friend of mine was nice enough to let me sell his old Thunderbird to help cover expenses for living the first month. Unfortunately the car isn't worth more than $800, and right now, I'm having trouble selling it for $650, and its a running/driving car. As soon as it sells, I will have more money to pay for the trip.

The good news is, my parents got a hold of one of my less religious aunts in San Antonio, who says, one way or another she will find us a place to stay for a little bit to find work. Not having to pay for a place to stay will greatly simplify the trip.

The job market over there looks great. There are Tech support call centers, IT Field Work, Cable work, small companies looking for Techs, and endless retail jobs to be had. One way or another, I will get a job out there. It may not be an awesome job at first, but the cost of living in Austin and San Antonio is cheap, so it wont take much to cover rent and food. From there I can continue to job hunt.

I excited about finally being able to do something productive towards my own life, even if it partly an All-or-nothing attempt. I have family in TX, and I have family here in AZ. Worst case scenario, is simply driving back to AZ. Its kinda rough to leave all my friends behind, I won't have many when I get to TX. My focus will be towards employment, so socializing may become rare for a little bit.

A couple of my friends are about to move into there own apartment. Normally I would be renting a place with them, but in AZ I have little chance of doing that for some time. Maybe I can convince them to move to TX too.
