chick-lit movies... hmm

This was a result of a recent pet peeve I just acquired from watching some movies these past few days. Where the film-makers just found it fit and plausible enough to cut a big confrontation halfway in the middle and make a premature end to it with a scrambled liplock or passionate stolen kiss. Heh, I mean sure, feisty fight could spark lust, too, along the way, but as adults you just gotta reach that point where you actually sit down and talk about it, rather than just smacking lips, have sex, and be done with it.

I want to see those characters do that. Sit down and talk about it, offering their reasons, demands, and reach a mutual understanding. (call me a sucker for details and actual closure).

I mean, no offense, but don't you just hate it when you're in the middle of trying to get your point across verbally and civilly, then found out you couldn't continue doing it cause somebody had jumped at you and planted their lips all over your face, and especially on that body part you need most to finish your words? I mean, hey, I do actually have something important to say to you here, you know, and I'm not doing it just so you'd think, 'Hey, let's stop all this nonsense babbling and show her a nice way to shutting up, shall we?'

Please. Let's act civilly according to our ages like the adults that we are portrayed in the scenario, m'kay?

Is it a women thing; a vexation from having men reacted to them in such dominating way for such a long time?

Or, is it just me and my picky weirdness?

Aa...nd somehow this entry has downspiralled into some Women Gazette rant.

Aaw... just let me go back to my chocolate and I'll retract my fangs.

movie, rant
