Hey, I brought you lunch.

[Knocking on the door, Sugata may notice that his voice is softer than usual.]

I made it myself, so it should be fine. [He even tested it himself!]

[Sugata looks up and softens his expression immediately. TIME TO-- TRY TO HIDE FEELINGS FOR WANTING TO DO STUFF HHHH-- because he's pretty sure Takuto would have a conniption of sorts.]

I made soup. [...] I found a recipe book lying around; even though it's hot out... It's still good for you, right?

[he looks a bit sheepish, setting it down on the table next to him.]

[Sugata nods.] Yes, it is. It's easy to keep down for sick people since there's not a lot that goes into it.

[dazzlingstages]

Wako and I have been worried. [there's an abrupt pause, as he pulls a stool over to sit on beside Sugata's bed.]

I know this probably isn't the best time to tell you, but... [he sheepishly scratches his head.] We've been here for a while, and this whole time we've been only training our Pokémon.

[He glances at the floor for a moment, before looking back over to Sugata before reluctantly saying --]

Do you want to spar when you're better?

[He probably had the worst timing for these things.]

[Sugata looks up at that. He really hadn't meant to worry either of them. In fact he had been hoping that he could put worrying his friends behind him now that he was here. He sighs.] I'm sorry. It wasn't my intention to worry either of you.

[his eyes widen from surprise] Sure. If you don't mind waiting a little longer. [he chuckles some.] You might get better with the wait actually...

[You seem to do that a lot, don't you? Worrying them.]

You don't need to apologize! All you have to do is get better, and we're fine with that.

[there's a bit of a confident smile that reflects back to Sugata.] I'm not the same as when I first met you.

[sob, he can't help himself. it's a problem.]

Well, I'm trying. My body just doesn't want to get better at the moment. [and the general murmur of distaste and bluh bluh bluh why is that restaurant even in service if all it does is serve terrible food?!]

And I'm not the same either. Remember Takuto, I was here before you and Wako arrived.

[That's what kings do, it seems. But it's okay, because your right hand man and maiden are there for you every step of the way.]

You're too stubborn not to. [he laughs gently, as his fingers intertwine together on his lap.]

And I think you should worry more about yourself than me. [He's not the one sick in bed; remember that.]

[it is! They cannot help doing these kinds of things, sob. It's like instinct! And that is very reassuring.]

And what's that supposed to mean? I'm not going to foolishly run into any sort of sparring at the moment, Takuto-kun. Unless you would like to get sick to even the odds, then I would happily oblige to make things even.

I meant it in the way it's not good to underestimate your opponents; especially when you haven't fought them in a while.

[His hands shoot up in his defence. Looks like someone hasn't been happy being stuck in their room all day... Would grouchy be stretching it?]

Is that so? Well then I suppose an apology is in order. I'm sorry.

[he is a cranky person right now, sobbb.]

Yeah. I'm sorry too. [...] [At this, Takuto can't help but start chuckling out of nowhere. Sorry, Sugata, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, isn't it?]
