Yeah, sure, why not? :)

Stolen from smells_corrupt

I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's Parker ...she likes money and cereal." I'd love it if ( Read more... )

What the heck:

I am a stay at home mother of two with a pair of bachelors degrees in business management and information systems, neither of which I am using in my current incarnation as a Tupperware sales lady - an ironic career choice given that I mostly hate people. I love to read and write though I get to do so rarely these days. I have a five year old son and a two year old daughter, Jack and Madison, who are the lights of my life despite the fact that they are the reason I never get to read or write anymore. I have absurdly long hair because I vowed not to cut it until I lost the baby weight after my daughter was born and well...it's been more than two years. I also dress like a baglady for the same reason. I am hardheaded and stubborn about many things, contrary and argumentative about everything else. I am also obsessive to the point of absurdity and have unintentionally devoted like 2/3 of my mental capacity to song lyrics from the 80s.

Bwahaha! So with the hating people, do you get many sales? Or do you only sell to your friends and family? Just curious how that would work out for you. You sound like most of my mom's side of the family. Which are many German, hence the hardheadedness, stubbornness and argumentative nature. If we ever met IRL we'd either get along famously or hate each other on site. :o)

I actually do pretty well with the Tupperware sales, believe it or not. I am SPECTACULAR at faking it. Even *I* am impressed at how well I smile and converse with people who irritate the ever living hell out of me.

I guess Germans and hard-core, southern rednecks have a surprising number of similarities!

I always liked the name Madison... :) and Jack is one of my favorite boys' names.

I have been vowing to lose weight for ages. It fluctuates so much, depending on what I'm doing, but I hover stubbornly at a weight that I'm not comfortable saying out loud. I don't dress like a baglady (though, when I was a kid I had a costume collection that I used to haul around the neighborhood with me in a wagon. My mother thought I would grow up to be a bag lady. ;) ). I actually really love clothes, but I keep telling myself that I can't buy new ones until I lose some weight.

I picked Madsion's name out after a bit I saw on Jay Leno FOURTEEN YEARS AGO. I am extremely bitter about how popular it became before I actually got around to giving birth to a girl:) I waffled on using it, but decided since I was only ever going to have the one girl, I was going to use it anyway even if she was one of nine Madisons in her class. I love her name, but mostly I just call her 'Sunny' which is both a play on MadiSON and the fact that she's got reddish hair and a sunshine-y disposition. Jack's name is actually Jonathan. We named him that with every intention of calling him Jack. Don't ask me why. It seemed like a good idea at the time ( ... )
