Thanksgiving
My ritual sacrifice (with pie) went very well, and I return home with full intentions of writing until my fingers fall off this week (as well as doing a few other minor work related projects before the holidays and putting up the Christmas decorations). However, somehow, without warning I find that I've been nominated at the SunnyD Awards in multiple categories.
"He's An Excellent Dancer" is up for Best Comedy
"West of the Moon, East of the Sun" is up for Best Drama, Best Plot, Best (conventional) Pairing, Best Characterization (Buffy), and Best Original Character (Louhi!)
And I'm apparently up for a Best New Author award.
I'm immensely flattered and pleased and appreciative and if I knew who nominated me I'd give you great big cuddles for it all. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Instead, in thanks, how about a DUST teaser meme? Post a word, any word, that you think might appear somewhere in my current WIP. It can be a character name, or a noun or a verb or whatever. If it occurs at all in DUST I will post a short excerpt (that contains that word) in the comments. If it doesn't, I'll let you pick another one (and maybe I'll try to work that word into the story somehow). Anyone can play.
