I'm watching 50/50 right now for the first time, and they just cued a Radiohead song at the most perfect moment. Welp, I'm satisfied. No need to watch the rest. But seriously, the movie was good, but I don't think it was worthy of a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. Must be the cancer thing. *shrug*
Did you know the name Lucifer means light bearer? I found this out a few days ago in a book that I'm reading while I was sitting in the food court at Clark and Lake. I can't stop thinking about it. My mind just keeps coming back to it. I'm reading this book called The Every Boy and the protagonist, Henry, can easily be summed up by a sentence I read on an Amazon review: "I hope I won't be accused of heresy if I say that Henry Every is more intriguing and insightful than Holden Caulfield." I completely agree with this, but I've never really liked Holden Caulfield to begin with so....... Anyway, you should read it -- whoever it is that is reading this entry right this moment.
I completely forgot I had a Barnes & Noble gift card from my birthday, so I was pretty stoked to use it today. I bought The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and Peter Pan. I've never read any books by Murakami, but I've heard great things. Today as I was applying eyeliner in a handheld mirror, my friend Alex turned to me, gasped, and said, "Do you want to listen to Olafur Arnalds on vinyl?!?" all in the span of three seconds. I love my friends.
