Not Dead
...at least not yet. Instead, I provide you with some of the random things I've dug up on the Internets today:
- Via moonandserpent's grinding.be post, a fascinating Fortean Times article from last year on two crazy Italian kids from the '60s who listened in on the Soviet and American space programs,
- An interesting take on why Egypt is planning on killing all its pigs, though I have no hard evidence that this is true or not,
- an essay on why Mothra and Godzilla simply wouldn't work, with what looks, at first blush, like decent back-of-the-envelope science,
- a rather stunning steampunk reinvisioning of Pinocchio,
- the Time 100 entry for 4chan's moot, as written by Rick Astley, and
- Google Labs takes a stab at Mexican flu statistics, which is something they've been doing with the US for a while now.
