Favorite Underrepresented Muppet?

I'm sort of in an odd mood, so here's an odd sort of question.

Everyone thinks of a particular muppet when they think of Jim Henson. Generally, it's someone like Kermit, Miss Piggy, Oscar the Grouch, or Bert (or Ernie). ...but most of us who grew up with them have a particular oddball favorite. Perhaps it's the Honkers from Sesame Street. ( Read more... )

I have to vote for Robin, Kermit's nephew. He was always one of my favorites, but not appreciated enough, in my opinion.

Oh! Also, Slimy, Oscar's worm friend, isn't appreciated enough, or the Tweedlebugs, who I do a mean impression of. BTW, robotnik sent me here. :)

I noticed a few names I didn't expect to see commenting here that I'd seen in that Bostonian-gamer-circle crew that robotnik and I both ran in back in the day. Welcome. :)

...and honestly, I only vaguely remember Slimy, though I do recall Fluffy, his pet elephant.

Oh, Slimy was great! But I don't remember Fluffy. And Pepe the Prawn? Another good one! I always identify with the little ones, cause I've always been little, too! :)

Fluffy was just a sound effect that was brought out when Oscar went rummaging around in his can, but when you're six or so, and you hear an elephant coming from Oscar's can while Big Bird is standing there waiting for him, your brain warps as you start to try to grasp the edges of extra-dimensional spaces.

Yeah. I'll back you on that, though he did get some serious screen time in the movies. I liked him for many of the same reasons I liked Scooter. I identified with both of them a great deal growing up, as I didn't have what you would call a great self-image. :)
