Favorite Underrepresented Muppet?

I'm sort of in an odd mood, so here's an odd sort of question.

Everyone thinks of a particular muppet when they think of Jim Henson. Generally, it's someone like Kermit, Miss Piggy, Oscar the Grouch, or Bert (or Ernie). ...but most of us who grew up with them have a particular oddball favorite. Perhaps it's the Honkers from Sesame Street. ( Read more... )

These days, Grover, who has fallen by the wayside due to the rise of Elmo.

But for really obscure, I love the Dancing Slinkies and the Forest Animals. "Stop, children, what's that sound, everybody look what's going down...."

Hm, I think the Kermitage is Muppet-Show-only. Luckily the main Sesame Street Muppets all appeared as guest stars, but that may not work for minor characters.

True, but I couldn't find a comperable site for the other Henson productions, like Sesame Street, Dark Crystal, Fraggle Rock, and the like.

...though I do like me some Dozers.

Fuck Elmo. fuck his toddler talking whiny little three year old face. He has NOTHING on Grover, who brought us the lessons of "Near and Far" and the occasional adventure as Super Grover.

Elmo SUCKS.

The dancing slinkies were totally, totally awesome. The guys from the "You're Looking Through Me" bit were also great, and I have fond memories of the little inch worm they used in "Inch Worm" ...the music muppets tended to rock.
