[Had been mostly indifferent-to-dismissive of any mentions of a police force, but research always gets his attention.]

What could you even offer to a scientist, for that sort information or assistance?

Equipment.

[He purses his lips.]

What little of it we may be able to scrap up. Multiple people working together often gets faster results as well. And the self satisfaction of helping the community grow.

I already have a lab. And as long as my subjects survive I don't care what happens to the 'community.'

If people are actually willing to be useful that's different- but I hardly have any reason to believe that.

We don't want to be dissected.

[Flatly.

No, she cannot keep her mouth shut. Ever.]

So?

[Really, that opinion never makes sense to him.]

So you can take your business elsewhere. Thanks.

I wasn't talking to you.

Unless you're offering yourself, you're not involved.

I don't need a fourth arm, thank you.

Your services aren't required. Thanks. Come again.

I wouldn't necessarily give you anything so mundane.

Your opinion isn't noted.

[She just tosses him a flat look. It wasn't noted by Kurotsuchi, but it was certainly noted by Nathaniel, which is what matters.]

[Totally saw that convo with Rei.]

...you dissect people?

I am a scientist.

Dissection of vivisection?

[Quietly.]

Both.

Depends on whether they're alive at the time or not, doesn't it?

Yes, but one is generally seen to profoundly be more humane than the other.

[A lengthy pause.]

I'm afraid I'll have to agree with miss Rei on this one- I apologize, but we simply cannot compromise on the matter.

If you think like that, you never advance.

But since you can't offer anything regardless, it's no loss.
