Monkey business
I guess the stray's owner was happier to get her back than it seemed. She sent us a very nice thank-you note for taking such good care of her, and a copy of Zen for Cats.
It says something about my experiences with people the past couple of years that I was expecting something nasty as a follow-up. But maybe, sometimes, humans don't completely suck.
