*yawn* *stretch*

I've found the secret to getting both work and writing done: skip the Y. Hey, I didn't say it was a good answer. But those extra few hours seem to make a huge difference. I'll let myself get away with it for this week; next week, it's back to sweating semi-regularly.

It's finally stopped raining. It's a beautiful day... for mowing. My enthusiasm knows bounds, but it needs to be done. Maybe this evening; right now, the cats are having too much fun out there. Although they, too, would appreciate shorter grass.

While we were gone to the con, a woodchuck made itself a den under the deck. I'd rather not shoot it if I don't have to, but I sure don't want it hanging out that close to the house. This site indicates that if there are any young (how do you sex a woodchuck?), they should be fully mobile by mid-to-late June; maybe if all the activity of us and the cats hasn't persuaded it to move on by then, I'll start messing about with mothballs and filling in the holes.

The cats are fascinated by the woodchuck. I think they've all got enough sense not to go after something three times their weight....

cats, projects, wildlife, exercise
