This is your IP in use at that time (shared by yourself and quondam) according to LJ Toys.
23,432 requests were made for the video between 18:25 and 19:28, at which point I discovered the hammering by chance and firewalled that IP.
Did you attempt to download the video using some kind of download manager? It's possible that it was buggy and hammered without doing any actual transfer, as I doubt your connection could have done that sort of transfer in an hour. It's also possible that your or quondam's machines are trojanned, but that would be a bit of a stretch of coincidence for even my geek paranoia ;)
Raw details:
root@mentok:~# grep 82.46.179.41 $ACCESSLOG | head -n 1 82.46.179.41 - - [28/Aug/2007:18:25:08 +0100] "GET /~syn/videos/infest2007-the-movie.mp4 HTTP/1.1" 200 16369840 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6"
Oh hang on, I did press "Save Target As..." on your larger version of the video wotsit thing before going out, but it should have just downloaded it once, not started a DoS on you. I'll kill my Firefox extensions just in case - in fact one has just updated itself so might be a known issue.
350GB is more than we have pulled yes. This PC only shows 22Gb since last reboot.
Terribly sorry about that - no intention to hammer the photographic competition :-P
Nah, it would make perfect sense if it were a Firefox extension spacking out. I've removed the rather ranty entry I made earlier, so that people don't see this and that and end up confused.
Mind if I add you? I've seen your gig work around, but didn't link 'kneeshooter' to 'disturbing.org.uk'...

Feel free to add either kneeshooter which is photos plus occasional rants; or disturbingorguk which is just the photos.
