First it was the roof, You'll recall that two (0r was it 3?) weekends ago, we were roofing. This is Hubby's ex-wife's house. There is still a lot of work to do before the tenant's move in date of July 1st.
THIS is what happens when you have a "slight" leak that's left unchecked for a whole year.
This is where I had my face most of Saturday and Sunday. This is actually a very nice "during" picture. The floor is patched up and the rotten wood all gone.
This pictures shows the loveliness that we I removed from the bathroom. I'm going to call and see if they want to use it for the set in the next HOSTEL movie, or in SAW IV. (maybe they already did)
These two are the "after" pictures. The floor has since been cleaned, so it looks even better.
This is what I had to deal with to install the drain for the new sink. This is also the next project; the kitchen ceiling.
This picture clearly illustrates how happy I am to be there. Saturday night we got home at 11:00 pm. Sunday we got home at about 8:45 pm. So if any of you are wondering where I've been, there's your answer.
What would possess me to do all of this work for free you might ask? It's all for the love of my Hubby. I don't know what he's getting out of it, but he needs my help, so there I am.
The upside of this?
New power tools. Just this last weekend I bought a new circular saw with a cord that has not yet been yanked up inside the bent blade guard. It's also got a Laser!! Sunday's purchase was a Sawzall with an adjustable handle and it's got two LED lights on the front!! You know me: If it lights up, I'm all over it!
Some time in June, a bunch of bearded skinny guys are going to install two stories of new porch at MY project, the rental house. Next weekend, I have two windows to install, and when all of that is done, I need to get on the painting that I didn't finish last year. How's that song go? "see you in September?"
In spite of all of this, I'm getting to the gym once in a while. I'm seeing some improvement in the weightlifting department. I lost my magic notebook, but I bought another one and I've been "keeping it up" religiously. (that's a topic for another post, though)
