He gives her a sad smile and gazes at her intently. "I'll be all right. I'm bringing a small group of companions with me to ensure nothing goes too far. Perhaps a few of my soldiers, though not enough to arouse fear, as well as a few humans. Although, at this point, I'm not sure who they will be."
Zod sighs softly and lifts his hands to her chin, lightly pushing so that she's meeting his gaze once more. "Don't worry," he says softly, offering her a small smile. "At the first sign of anything going wrong, I'll leave. Try some other approach."

"I know," he sighs quietly. "I don't really like the idea, either, but I trust that, with the proper protection, it will go smoothly. And I don't really know what else to do. If I keep my true identity a secret, I doubt they'll pay me much heed. I need to give them some explanation as to why I know the things I do."
He can't help but smile a little at that. "I think that knowledge alone will keep them in line." He takes her hand in his again and gives it a gentle squeeze. "And that certainly makes me feel better about the whole thing."
"I'll be sure to inform the United Nations that I know a great slayer of vampires and zombies who will unleash her wrath on them if they lay a finger on me against my will," he says with amusement, his smile widening slightly.
