technically its christmas, but it really doenst feel like it at all, and i am about to go to bed. i had an OK christmas eve at the grandmother's; full of laughs and hugs and the usual drunk aunt marianne, but it felt rushed and empty somehow.

i am tired, and i think i am getting a cold? either that or some strange non-pollen caused allergies. maybe i am allergic to cold weather. probably.
my spine has decided to secede from my body, and a very painful war is being waged at this very moment. it doesnt much like suddenly being made to suffer through my standing at a cash register for nine long hours a day and lifting boxes and stocking shelves. it is quite excruciating. i try to pamper my spine in my off-hours, but i do not think it will stay much longer. it seems very bent on viloently removing itself from my back, or so it feels.
it wasnt hurting me too bad last night, but i still had a difficult time falling asleep, exhausted as i was. only after i violently spooned and tossed around with a pillow was i comfortable enough to start to pass out. i woke up at one point during the night trying to get the pillow to spoon me, i think. it didnt work too well and i got angry at the pillow and tossed it on the floor. then i curled up in a tight ball with my other pillow and passed out again.
i had horrible dreams last night. horrible dreams that made me cry. pillows are not good huggers/comfort items.

it will be a magic-less(?) christmas morning soon, and then it is off to the aunt's around 3 for "dessert". i do not know how long we will be there. last year or the year before we were stuck there as a result of a snowstorm. i hope to avoid snow this year.
i am working 12-7 sunday. woo time and a half.
