Who has a tragus piercing that can potentially answer my questions before I do something completely irrational and irresponsible??
Also: if I get sick, or make anyone around me contract strep throat, it's not my fault. I walked into a biohazard fridge with Rosie and examined her test tubes. Test tubes that were breeding strep throat. Seriously

tragus i got pierced in calagary.its surprisingly resilient given the fact that i got it pierced while backpacking. its prett sensitive though and hurt like a mofo when accidentally touched.
i thought it was rejecting itself at one point because i kept playing with it, but even about 3 weeks in when i was forced to get a barbel because i kept loosing the little ball that keeps the ring closed.
the only major thing is clean it as consistently as possible. im bad and i also got it pierced when travelling, so i didnt clean it as often as i should have ,but once i ignored the barbel it healed itself.
the piercing should be fully healed within 3-4 months in that time it is super tempramental. it could get a small infection(just that the tragus swells up and gets a bit itchy
as mentioned i have both my tragus and anti tragus pierced it makes it a bit hard to use earbud headphones. which is the only major nuiscance(sp)
i think labrets are the new nose ring/carteledge piercing . everyone who sees mine are like ooh i want to get that did it hurt.
the pain factor is different for everyone. for me i had an amazing piercer (females are generally gentler, but not necessarily as proficient-as male piercers) and it didnt hurt at all. my only think with my tragus is that where i wanted it pierced it just hits the carteledge, its pierced fairly shallow meaning i didnt experience as much pain or swelling because its just hitting the actual tragus.
my anti tragus on the other hand hurt more then life itself i went to john at newtribe, who is apparently one of the best. super nice buy but big hands in a small place not cool. he couldnt get the back closing ring in and was forced to pull that little piece of carteledge more then necessary.
i my tragus in june, its fully healed it was fully healed by about september, even though the swelling went down about a month later. my anti tragus i got done in september. it is still healing.
one thing you have to note about piercings that arent lobes. you are pierced with piercing grade jewlery, meaning fairly ugly stainless steel. you cannot change the jewlery until it is fully healed, so that little gold ring you likely wont be able to switch to until 4-6 months in.
also with piercings, you cannot give blood for 6 months after getting pierced. the only thing i am really upset about is that because it means i havent been able to donate blood for over a year(due to nose piercing last year)
wow this is longer than expected. hope it helps.
i would love to grab lunch or coffee with you at school whats your schedule like? :)

See, I don't want a Scarlett gold hoop anyway -- I'm not a gold person, so stainless steel in silver is fine. I'm more worried about aerobics and my hearing than earbuds for my iPod (I don't listen to it anymore, adn really can't) and what it might mean for going clubbing and wearing earplugs after getting the tragus pierces.
How large should that piece of skin be, anyway? My cartilidge there is fairly small and I'm not sure if it's even possible to get my tragus pierced.
Also, I can clean it fairly often, I'm not going anywhere, but in May-June I might so I'd want it either healed or nearly healed by then. :S I was going to go to the local Stinger Tattoo and speak to the people there about it as well either this or next week/weekend and then make my decision.
How much did it cost, too??
