Bring it on

I rarely post to this thing, so I figured why not talk about my evening. Sure, there's other stuff that people would probably listen to, but yeah.

So my dad was feeling under the weather and called me last night to offer me tickets to the musical "Bring It On." Melissa didn't want to go, so my mom and I went. We had a good time, a little bit of trouble meeting up due to flooding at one of the subway stations, but very nice.

Bring It On isn't my preferred flavour of musical, featuring a plot of a cheer leading competition. Look up the plot on Wikipedia if you want more. It's a little predictable in points, but overall fun. The athleticism was breathtaking though. One of the reasons I love live theatre is for all the little things, the possibility of mistakes, and seeing the facial expressions. We had seats third from the front, slung off to the side, so we got to see a lot of that.

The music was okay, a little rock a little hip hop, but nothing in particular I'd listen to often on my ipod.

I probably should post properly about my musical tastes someday but not right now. Tis late and I need to sleep. Night all.
