You don't need college to have a good job. I'm serious. I know tons of people who got good -good- jobs and they didn't need fancy degrees. Some of them are managers, caterers, one of my friends wound up nannying for a millionaire. :O

I do want to go to college, but I'm not sure where yet. My mom just thinks if I go for a degree that's very specific, I won't be able to get a job with it.

Ah. I disagree a little bit; since general degrees can be very helpful. But I can see why she worries about it with the ecomny (I can't spell that damn word.) the way it is.

I'm still not sure. I think she feels that most art degrees aren't worth much. -_- She laughed at the art school's brochure when she saw that math or science weren't required. But I'm interested more in computer graphics/graphic design or illustration.

There's lots of need for that! Computer arts is in HUGE demand. I just took a job workshop course and they mentioned that several times.

Lol, yeah. Sometimes my ideas get so persistent, I turn over my paper in the middle of class and zone out totally while I sketch. XD

Same! Only mine are with writing. I spent a whole Spanish period zoned out plotting out the Steampunk novel that I"m writing.
